 Kyle Ehrmann
Kyle Ehrmann of Wayne will
complete his senior year by December 2003 as a home-schooled student in
order to attend college in January 2004. He is a piano student of Ruth
Kotik of Wayne and has studied piano since he was eight years old.
Kyle has won numerous competitions, which include the Music Educators
Association, New Jersey Federation of Music Clubs, Cecilian Music Club,
and the Leschetizky Association of Gifted Young People's Concerts, and
most recently, the International Concert Allliance. He is a two-time winner
of the Andrew De Grado Piano Competition and performed in the Winners
Recital at Kean University. During the past seven years, he has performed
in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a winner of the Piano Teachers'
Society of America (PTSA) competitions. In addition, Kyle received high
honors from the New Jersey Music Teachers Association. Kyle played at
master classes on a Young Artist's level sponsored by the Music Educators
Association, as well as master classes sponsored by the Pompton Valley
Music Teachers' Association. Besides playing in Weill Recital Hall and
Kean University, he has performed at the 92nd Street Y, the Donnell Library,
Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall and Cami Hall in New York. Because of Kyles
interest in Jazz studies, he has attended a Jazz Camp at William Paterson
University. Kyle plans to attend a music college and major in music performance
after he graduates from high school. His hobbies are surfing and snowboarding.
Kyle Ehrmann is a winner in the 2003 Fifth Annual Andrew De Grado Piano
Competition in the soloist category with his performance of Feux dartifice
(Fireworks) by Debussy.
