Jamie Cai

Jamie Cai is a sixth grade student at Eisenhower Middle School in Wyckoff, which recently became a Blue Ribbon School in the USA. Jamie started taking piano lessons when she was five. Currently, she is studying piano with Ingrid Clarfield of Princeton and has taken lessons with her for about one and a half years.

Jamie has won first, third and honorable mention in the New Jersey Music Teachers Association (NJMTA) competition. Jamie has performed in Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. In addition, she received three High Honors in the NJMTA High Honors Competition. Jamie also plays the clarinet in her school band and orchestra. Her favorite hobby is playing virtual Petz computer game. Jamie is a Lord of the Rings fanatic and enjoys listening to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and reading the series. Jamie's goals are to go to Harvard and to become a chemist or a scientist.

Jamie Cai is a winner in the 2003 Fifth Annual Andrew De Grado Piano Competition in the soloist category with her performance of La Plus Que Lente by Debussy.
