Ji-Nee Lo is a seventh grade student at Manalapan
Englishtown Middle School. She has been playing the piano since
she was five and is currently studying with Ingrid Clarfield of
Princeton. Ji-Nee also studied piano with Chiu-Tze Lin of Manalapan.
Her piano accomplishments include winning first place at the New
Jersey Music Teachers Association Young Artist Competition when
she was eight. In addition, she received consecutive high honors
in the Music Teacher Associations annual audition for seven
years. Ji-Nee has performed in the Battleground Young Artists Showcase,
which was featured on a local television program. As a Cecilian
Young Artist, she performed in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall,
Merkin Concert Hall, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New
York. In addition, Ji-Nee has achieved Distinction in the Royal
School Examinations. Her love of music also extends to the violin
and dance. Ji-Nee plays violin in her school orchestra and is the
schools concertmaster. She has also won numerous medals and
awards in tap and jazz solos. Ji-Nees other interests include
reading, painting, drawing, and dancing. Ji-Nee also loves to go
shopping.
Ji Nee-Lo was a winner in the 2002 Fourth Annual
Andrew De Grado Piano Competition in the soloist category with her
performance of Chopin's Nocturne in F sharp Major, Op. 15, No. 2.
