WINNERS' RECITAL

The Foundation congratulates the sixteen
winners of the Fourth Annual Andrew De Grado Piano Competition, Open
Solo and Accompanying Recital Competition. In addition, we send our
best wishes to all ninety-five talented pianists who entered this year's
competition on October 13 & 20, 2002 and to their parents and teachers
who have stood by them offering their support and inspiration.
Fifteen piano soloists and one piano accompanist will perform on December
1, 2002 at Kean University's "Little Theatre" located in the
University Center Building. A Winner's Certificate and cash award will
be presented to each of the sixteen winners. One award will be presented
in the Piano Accompanist Category, three awards in the Age 12 Soloist
Category because of a tie score and two awards in each of the remaining

Oey. The accompanist winner is Faye Xu who

Competition participants were required to
be between 11 and 18 years of age, be a resident of New Jersey studying
with a teacher who also resides in New Jersey or has a working studio
in the state.Judging was by a jury of prominent adjudicators: Christine
Dolinich-Matuska, Mark Ternezi
and Joseph Patrych. The timer on October
