WINNERS' RECITAL

Winners of the Andrew De Grado Piano Competition have been announced. Fourteen piano soloists and one piano accompanist will perform on February 3, 2002 at Wilkins Theatre. Each will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a cash award. The soloist winners are: Mond Fan Guo; Jennifer Hau; Philip Henson; Kaity Kao; Josephine Li; Yi-Fen Li; Jun Liu; Pierre Miller; Benjamin Nham; Yeun-Jung Park; Katie Salfelder; Daniel Suo; Grace Tung; Laurissa Yee. Competition participants were required to be between 11 and 18 years of age, be a resident of New Jersey while studying under a teacher with a working studio in New Jersey or a residence in the state. The Foundation is very proud of the eighty-eight talented pianists who entered the competition on October 14 & 21, 2001 at Kean University's "Little Theatre." Judging was by a jury of prominent adjudicators: Carmela Cecere, Christine Dolinich-Matuska, Victoria Griswold and Joseph Patrych. The timer was Brian Cariddi.
