On December 2, 2000, the fifteen winners of the second Andrew De Grado Piano Competition performed at Kean University's Wilkins Theatre in Union, New Jersey. A Certificate of Recognition and a cash award was presented to each of the winners. The competition consisted of various solo age categories and a special Rachmaninov interpretation category. Competition participants were required to be between 11 and 18 years of age, be a resident of New Jersey while studying under a teacher with a working studio in New Jersey or a residence in the state. The Foundation is very proud of the ninety talented pianists that entered the competition on November 4 & 5 at Kean University's "Little Theatre." Judging was by a jury of prominent adjudicators: Richard Alston, Christine Dolinich-Matuska, Victoria Griswold, Anna Klein and Joseph Patrych.
